Self-Managed, Self-Healing

CrashPlan PROe runs daily integrity tests on backup files to make sure the backed up files can be restored. Should even a single data block fail an integrity test, CrashPlan PROe detects the error and corrects the corrupted data block. If CrashPlan PROe discovers an error that it cannot correct, you are notified by email about the affected file.

Web Administration Console

It is easy to manage user access, determine files and folders to back up, and specify settings users can view and change. From the console, enforce data retention policies, ensure compliance and specify backup timing and security settings.

Timely Reports

Stay informed about unsuccessful backups and receive communications about connection and backup problems. Adjust report frequency so that you receive reports only as often as you wish. Take advantage of the API to integrate reports with other systems in your company.

Security

CrashPlan PROe Server can authenticate users against an external LDAP directory before registering the user or giving access to the application. This allows users to register and log into CrashPlan PROe using a network account password. If you delete a user from your LDAP directory, PROe Server blocks that user from backing up in the future. Continuously encrypted data means backups start out encrypted before leaving users’ computers and remains encrypted at each destination. Backups are secured with unique keys that enforce enhanced levels of security required when restoring files.
